Jamshedpur: BJP’s sweeping victory in UP and Uttarakhand assembly polls led district party leaders to go into celebration mode.
Party leaders termed the win as the mandate of the people endorsing the decision taken by Prime Minister Modi regarding surgical strikes and demonetization. They said the Opposition parties had now no reason to oppose these moves since they had failed to get the approval of the electorate.
Vidyut Varan Mahato, the MP of Jamshedpur, said the assembly poll results had only reaffirmed the faith of the people in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which they had shown earlier during last Lok Sabha elections.
He said the future was bright for the party and the nation since anti-national forces were sidelined by the voters.
Jamshedpur Mahanagar president of BJP Dinesh Kumar said, “The people have accepted the PM’s leadership. BJP believes in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and wants overall development of UP and the other states. Our party does not believe in resorting to populist measures for the sake of winning the elections.
It says what it means and it does what it promises. Now it is time for the all-round development of UP. The people of the state are now fed up with hooliganism. BJP has also clinched the majority mandate in Uttarakhand. We hope to form the government in Goa. Very soon, every state of the country will have the same fate.”
State BJP spokesperson Rajesh Shukla said the people of UP had voted BJP into power after being impressed by the government’s policies. The mandate given by the people of UP and Uttarakhand clearly vindicates our claim that now every government will be led by the BJP since the party believes in the uplift of one and all irrespective of caste or creed.
District media in-charge of BJP Ankit Anand expressed hope that the work on constructing Ram Mandir in Ayodhya should begin soon. He said the party’s victory had proved that the people had rejected rioters and terror-mongers and embraced the saffron party. He said now there will be no discrimination in the name of religion whether be it celebrating festivals or implementing welfare schemes.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Manoj Vajpayee said the victory of BJP was the victory of nationalism. He said the voters had rejected anti-nationals and corrupt people altogether.
