Jamshedpur : Former Jharkhand speaker and former Chatra MP Inder Singh Namdhari, lamenting the state of probity in public life here, said the objective with which Jharkhand state was created has not be fulfilled.
The situation in Jharkhand has become pitiable,” Namdhari said. “Education in a mess because of corruption. Ministers and officials in the education department are involved in money making.
During his political career, he was elected to the Bihar assembly in 1980, 1990, 1995 and 2000. Namdhari was the chairman of Bihar State Transport Corporation in 1979 and Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bihar unit president in 1988.
Following differences with the BJP, he formed the Sampoorna Kranti Dal in 1995. Between 1995 and 1997, he was appointed Bihar’s revenue, land reforms and transport minister. Namdhari became the first speaker of Jharkhand, after it was separated from Bihar.
He said Lord Ramís exile ended after 14 years and similarly Jharkhand formed 14 years will end its exile. Namdhari added that political equations have been the only obstacle blocking the development.
Discussing of political perspective he said from now he will not be active in election politics.
Namdhari who has contested several times from Daltanganj constituency is planning to field his son as an independent candidate.
