Political leaders mock social distance norms in eagerness to be photographed

Mail News Service

Saraikela: In their over eagerness to get themselves photographed, the marked trend among political leaders and those in the making who already consider themselves as leaders is that they throw all care to the winds when it comes to social distancing guidelines. Some are even more daring and get themselves clicked without masks. So-much-so for COVID-19 protocols.

This factor was evidenced today when the district Congress unit today demonstrated against the Farm Bills at all Block levels in Saraikela-Kharsawan district. The Congress demonstrators castigated the central government and the Farm Bills passed buy both houses of Parliament. They said that they were black bills designed to strengthen the pockets of capitalists at the cost of farmers future. Leading the protesters, the district Congress committee president Chhotray Kisku said, With the anti farmers bills the Centre has pawned the fates of farmers and labourers in the hands of capitalists. The Congress will continue to agitate and oppose these bill nationwide until they are amended. The Congress protesters burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
