Jamshedpur, May 31: In a collaborative effort, the traffic police and Adityapur police station conducted a joint campaign on Friday to tackle the issue of encroachment by fruit and vegetable vendors along Adityapur Thana Road. Despite warnings issued during the operation, no immediate removals were undertaken. The persistent encroachment has been identified as a major contributor to frequent traffic congestion in the area.
The campaign, spearheaded by Traffic In-charge Rajesh Kumar Singh and Adityapur Police Station In-charge Nitin Kumar Singh, aimed to address the ongoing encroachment issue. Vendors were cautioned and instructed to vacate the roadside premises. Authorities emphasized that failure to comply would lead to the confiscation of goods and the imposition of stricter measures.
Notices under Section 34 have been served to the shopkeepers, advising them against future encroachments.
