Police trace missing Seraikela youth at Tatanagar station

Jamshedpur, Feb 5: Police recovered the 21 year-old Seraikela youth, identified as Raju Mahato, missing since 1st February last, from Tatanagar railway station here on Wednesday. They took him to Seraikela police station for questioning in connection with his sudden and mysterious disappearance.

Police sources said the youth was found at the railway station. Police team traced Raju Mahato by putting his mobile phone number on surveillance. First, the team went to Medinipur in West Bengal by tracing the mobile phone of the youth. On reaching Medinipur, cops found his mobile phone location at Tatanagar railway station. The team returned to Jamshedpur and took the youth in its custody. They said Raju appeared scared. Once the youth becomes normal, he would be questioned regarding his disappearance, cops said.

The Seraikela youth had gone missing after setting out of his house. His father Falar Mahato registered a police complaint and sought help from SP Karthik S to trace his son. A case of abduction was lodged by police on his complaint.

Raju, in his last telephonic conversation, had told his father about four persons following him in Adityapur. After some time, his phone got switched off. His father had expressed doubt that one Devendra Kumar Lenka of Kharsawan had abducted his son.
