Jamshedpur: TV viewers of Jharkhand and Bihar may soon get to watch real life crime stories on their TV sets with a local touch as Anthony Cine World Wide is all set to present Police Siren, a TV serial based on shocking but true incidents.
The much awaited serial will go on air on 7th September on Kashish News channel. The maiden serial will showcase a welcome message by the former IPS officer and the MP of Jamshedpur Dr Ajoy Kumar. The serial will be shown every Sunday at 3.30 pm. The repeat telecast will be shown on Monday at 10 pm.
�The focus of the serial will be crimes, especially those against women. The rising crimes against women will be in the centre of our effort to show what is going on in our society and create awareness among the people.
The serial will not only work as an alert for the citizens but will also aim at creating awareness among the people regarding their legal rights and duties,� said Sanjay Bharti, director of the serial, who like the producer and other artists of the serial has an old association with the city.
The maiden serial will be based on the incident of gang-rape of a girl at the city outskirts near Dimna Lake a few years ago, said Alexander Anthony, producer of the serial.
The actors of the serial have been selected from the city and other parts of Jharkhand. An audition will be held on 20th July to select more artists for the serial.
