Police send body of Gamharia woman found hanging to MGM for autopsy

Gamharia, July 29: The Gamharia police recovered the body of a 28 year old married woman, Ruby Pradhan found hanging by a ceiling fan from her Sarna Tola residence in Shivnarayanpur village. The body was sent to MGM College. According to information, the deceased�s husband Ghanshyam Pradhan had gone for his night shift duty on Monday. Ruby Pradhan and their three year old daughter Anoushka were at home.

The sources stated that due to load shedding the child awoke from her sleep and not finding her mother by her side started crying. Neighbours hearing Anoushka crying arrived and opening the door looked around for Ruby Pradhan with mobile and torch lights. They spotted Ruby Pradhan hanging from the ceiling fan. They immediately notified her husband and the police.

The police arrived and taking the deceased�s body in their possession sent it for post mortem to MGM College. Ruby�s husband Ghanshyam too arrived. He said that he and his wife did not have any altercation on any issue and so he could not believe that his wife had taken the extreme step. He has expressed doubts over his wife�s suicide by hanging. The police has recorded a case of unnatural death.
