Chaibasa, April 22 : Acting on confidential information, Chaibasa police conducted a raid in Barjo village under the jurisdiction of Bandgaon police station, resulting in the seizure of 92 bags of Doda. Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar confirmed the operation, stating that on the night of April 20, intelligence reports indicated an illegal gathering in the Bandgaon area for the purpose of smuggling Doda.
To address the situation, a team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police, cum Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Chakradharpur, was formed. The raid, conducted with the assistance of armed forces, resulted in the recovery of 92 sacks of illegal Doda from Barjo village in Bandgaon.
The total weight of the seized Doda was 2,162 kilograms, with an estimated market value of approximately Rs 3,24,30,000. The successful operation signified the authorities’ commitment to combatting illicit activities in the region.
