Jamshedpur, Dec 27: West Singhbhum police recovered a six kg heavy can bomb from their way near Arahasa camp under Goelkera police station area on Tuesday. The recovery was made on way to Husipi Katamba area during an anti-Maoist combing operation. The bomb was diffused by the bomb disposal squad. This was informed by SP Ashutosh Shekhar. He said the campaign against Maoists was on for the last many days. CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar are assisting district police in the operation, he said.
“We have foiled Maoist plan to attack the police teams. Anti-Maoist operations are on across Kolhan. We had got a tip-off that CPI Maoist commander Ajay Mahato, Mochhu, Ashwin and other members of his squad are active in the area with the view to carry out a major subversive activity. The can bomb was planted on the road to harm the forces,” said the SP.
