Ranchi: A meeting of the Eastern Region Police Coordination Committee was organized at the Police Headquarters of Jharkhand. Police officers from Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh as well as officers from Central agencies also participated in the meeting here. In the meeting held under the leadership of state DGP Ajay Kumar Singh discussed cyber crime Naxalite, exchange of information, control on inter-state criminals and arrest of drug-related criminals. Police officers from Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh participated.
It is worth noting that this time Jharkhand state got the opportunity to organize the meeting of Eastern Region Police Coordination Committee. In such a situation, police officers and DGPs from all the states adjoining Jharkhand participated in the meeting held at the police headquarters. In this meeting, exchange of cyber crime inter-state information was also discussed in detail. Among the states attending the meeting, stopping Naxalite activities in the areas of Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Orissa and West Bengal and arresting Naxalites were also discussed.
The next meeting of the coordination committee will be held in Kolkata.
The issues discussed in the meeting are as follows:
• Cyber crime Naxalite, agreement on exchange of information
• All states will launch campaigns in the fight against Naxalites
• Exchange of intelligence to stop drugs and drug trafficking
• Nodal opportunities have also been fixed for intelligence gathering
• Agreement on sharing information about the movements of notorious Naxalites and criminals
