Jamshedpur: Following complaint of the activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today the police nabbed alleged animal smugglers and rescued cows at Dhatkidih.
Police sources said that 14 alleged animal smugglers bringing a cows and oxen from Balrampur in neighbouring West Bengal were nabbed.
Police had made various squads for raids to nab the animal smugglers who smuggle the cow family animals for selling them to butchers.
The animals rescued had been kept in the local Gaushala.
