Police crack murder mystery of DBMS student, three arrested


Jamshedpur : The district police have cracked the mystery of 15-year-old boy, Faizal Imtiaz, whose body was recovered from a jungle under Rajnagar police station area on Saturday.

The police have claimed that he was killed by his tenant inside the victim’s old house at River View Colony in Jugsalai on Friday.

Three youths identified as Mohammed Raza, Ali Gaddi, and Jitendra Lodhi have been arrested.
Faizal was a class IX student of DBMS English School, and son of father Imtiaz Ahmed a trader by profession.

Senior superintendent of police, Amol V Homkar on Sunday said that Faizal�s father Imtiaz had misbehaved with Raza’s sister at his house in Millatnagar, Jugsalai two months ago, and the accused had resolved to take revenge for the ill-treatment meted out to his sister by killing Faizal.

� As per our investigation we came to know that after Raza had come to know about the misbehave with his sister, he had come to Imtiaz’s house for questioning.

At Imtiaz’s house, his younger son, Faizal had confronted with Raza and had allegedly insulted him on hearing allegation against his father,� said the senior police official.

Homkar said Raza’s three brothers Mohammed Quashim, Mohammed Hashim and Mohammed Ramjani have also been taken into custody for interrogation, and if their involvement is proved in the murder, then they would also be arrested in the case.

“Faizal was murdered at his house in River View Colony, Jugsalai on Friday, when he had gone to collect the rent from Raza. Raza murdered the boy by using an electric wire, the assailant had called in an auto-rickshaw over telephone, and made him to carry the body bag to Rajnagar for dumping in a jungle,” said the senior superintendent of police.

Another senior police officer, who is also investigating into the case, said that they zeroed in on Raza having scanned a CCTV camera’s footage. The CCTV camera has been installed by a local resident at the locality where boy was murdered.

“During the interrogation Raza had told the police that the bike riding which Raza had come to his residence was being driven by Sonu and Faizal was a pillion rider.

On the CCTV footage, we found that bike was being ridden by Raza himself.”

The police officer said when the Raza was shown the CCTV footage, he confessed the crime.
