Jamshedpur: Police have registered a named FIR against two youths for allegedly harassing, stalking, and threatening a young woman in the Azadnagar police station area.
The main accused has been identified as Ajmal Hussain, a resident of Tajnagar in Kapali police station limits. His close associate is also named in the case, and police are tracing his identity and location. According to the victim, she was harassed and threatened for nearly five months.
She told police that Ajmal, who was earlier known to her, turned hostile after marriage talks were called off by her family, following which he allegedly began threatening and defaming her with the help of his friend.
Police said the case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC based on the victim’s statement. Police have assured strict action and that the victim’s safety is being given top priority.
