Chaibasa : West Singhbhum District Superintendent of Police Indrajit Mahatha said that all police officers / personnel posted under Chaibasa district are being informed about important information related to prevention of corona virus infection during discharge of duty and necessary guidelines issued by Health Department. He said that in recent times, the police personnel have not only maintained the responsibilities of maintaining law and order during Covid-19 virus infection control but also in the campaign against Naxalites and have made achievements continuously. Despite all this, the risk of corona virus infection is certainly challenging for them. The Superintendent of Police said that so far more than 400 police officers in the district have been investigated for corona virus infection and about 50 persons have been found to be virus infected and on the same basis, contact tracing has also been carried out and infected. Some of the police personnel have returned healthy. He said that the police department is fully ready to deal with the challenge in this district and all the infected soldiers have been kept in touch and are being treated duly in Covid-19 dedicated hospital.
