Gamharia, Nov 20: A team of Kandra police led by sub inspector Ramesh Kumar Sinhi carried out raids in Burudih village along the banks of Swarnarekha river on Wednesday and demolished several illegal distilleries. The officials destroyed mahua seeds and other raw materials used in the manufacturing of illicit liquor. They also confiscated illicit liquor stored in the distilleries. The owners and staff of the distilleries escaped from the scene. A case was lodged against the accused persons in this connection. The raid team members included Subodh Kumar Yadav, Manendra Singh and Chandan Kumar.
