PMAY recipients given possession of houses

Chaibasa: In a function held at Pillai Hall the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) and Pradhan Mantri Soubhagya Yojna (PMSY) under village empowerment drive, were presented ownership and certificates. The chief guest on the occasion was parliamentarian Laxman Gilua.
In his address, DC Arva Rajkamal said that A total of 21000 viallges had been selected whereas 252 villages were selected in West Sighbhum under village self governance drive. Various government schemes will be implemented in Tonto, Jhanpani, Ayodhya and Chelabera, the DC informed.
The schemes to be implemented include Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Surksha Yojna, Soubhagya Yojna and Ujjwala Yojna. The DC also informed that a medical team will cover villages to detect and treat cases of malnutrition. ODF festival will be celebrated on 9th May. “It is a matter of pride that West Singhbhum leads in so far as constructions under PMAY is concerned,” stated Arva Rajkamal.
MP Laxamna Gilua informed that both, the state and central governments were drawing up schemes with the Antyodaya policy in mind. The MP opined that people should avail of the Surksha Bima Yojna and Jeevan Jyoti Yojna schemes.
BDOs who had performed well in scheme implementation were awarded medals and mementos.
DRDA Amit Kumar, all BDOs of the district, Mukhiyas and Panchayat Sevaks were present on t he occasion.
