Jamshedpur, Nov 30: Poll bound Jharkhand witnessed two election rallies by BJP’s star campaigner PM Narendra Modi on Saturday.
He addressed the first rally in Jamshedpur while the state capital Ranchi saw a huge crowd at Mohrabadi Ground for the second public rally back to back.
Seeing the enthusiastic crowd in large numbers at both the cities the state BJP leaders are not confident of party’s big performance in Jharkhand.
Rakesh Prasad, vice president of the state BJP talking to the media persons on Sunday said that the party’s poll prospects have further improved after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in the state.
Prasad further informed that the party is ahead in campaigning in all the 13 assembly constituencies of Kolhan, where the second-phase of the five-stage assembly polling is slated on December 2 and he expressed confidence that BJP will form a majority government in the state.
Asked about Sonia Gandhi’s rally in Kolhan, Prasad said that Sonia has become “immaterial” in Jharkhand and his election meetings had turned out to be a “flop show”.
He also said that the party workers were upset with the BJP’s decision on alliance with AJSU but after several rounds of talks and party’s high commands nod the workers of both the party are working with full strength.
