PM Modi to lay foundation for redevelopment of Tatanagar Railway Station today

Jamshedpur, Feb 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for the comprehensive redevelopment of 18 key stations in Jharkhand on Monday, February 26, under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. This transformative initiative, estimated at approximately Rs 600 crore, encompasses the refurbishment of pivotal stations, including Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Gamharia, Sini, Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Bada Jamda, Balsiring, Bano, Gangaghat, Ramgarh Cantt, Govindpur Road, Aurma, Muri, Silli, Lohardaga, Tatisilwe, and Namkum.

In addition to the station redevelopment, the project encompasses the construction of 44 road overbridges and underpasses across the state, enhancing overall transportation infrastructure. The announcement has generated a sense of enthusiasm and joy among BJP workers, who eagerly anticipate the foundation stone-laying ceremony by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Tatanagar railway station in Jamshedpur is among the stations earmarked for development under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. The project further includes the construction of Railway Over Bridges (ROBs) at Barigoda (LC 138) and Govindpur (LC 137), a railway underbridge near Salgajhudi, and a railway underbridge beyond Haldipokhar on the Tata-Badam Pahad railway line. Additionally, the plan involves constructing a subway between Galudih and Rakhamines in the Kharagpur Railway Division.

BJP workers in Jamshedpur are actively preparing for the live foundation stone-laying ceremony at various locations, including Tatanagar Railway Station. Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Sudhanshu Ojha are expected to play a prominent role in the 10 am event on Monday. The city has made extensive arrangements to ensure the widespread participation of BJP workers and the success of the event.
