Thanks INDIA Bloc Allies for Criticizing the Act
Addressing a massive public rally in Meerut on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party following its youth wing’s controversial “shirtless” protest at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026. The Prime Minister declared that the demonstration proves the country’s oldest political party has become “ideologically bankrupt.”
“Dirty and Naked Politics” at a Global Event
The backlash follows an incident where Youth Congress members entered New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam during the high-profile AI summit. The protesters raised slogans against the Central government regarding inflation, unemployment, and the recent India-US trade deal.
PM Modi expressed his disappointment over the timing and venue of the protest, noting that the event was a moment of national pride.
“India hosted the world’s largest AI Summit—a historic event for any developing country,” the Prime Minister told the crowd. “However, Congress turned this global platform into a stage for their dirty and naked politics. They reached the venue naked in front of foreign guests.”
Defaming the Nation
The Prime Minister accused Congress of intentionally trying to tarnish India’s international image. He drew a comparison to village life, noting that during a wedding, the entire community works together to ensure guests leave with a positive impression.
“Congress, however, is focused on defaming its own country,” he remarked. He further questioned the necessity of the act, stating, “The nation knows you are already [ideologically] naked, so why did you feel the need to take off your clothes?”
Gratitude to the INDIA Bloc
In a surprising political twist, PM Modi extended his thanks to the allies of the INDIA bloc. While the Congress leadership reportedly praised the youth wing’s actions, several of its coalition partners publicly criticized the protest.
“One thing that gives me satisfaction is that all the allies of Congress have shown the courage to criticize the party over the Delhi incident. I express my gratitude to them for this,” PM Modi said.
A Pattern of Hostility
PM Modi reminded the audience that while he expects political opposition toward the BJP and the NDA, the AI Summit was a national achievement, not a partisan event. He recalled past personal attacks, mentioning that Congress leaders have previously used abusive language against his family and “wished to dig his grave.” He emphasized that by targeting a national summit, Congress has finally “crossed all limits.”
