Jamshedpur, Oct 8: With awareness growing and also the demand, more and more patients who recovered from Corona virus are coming forward to donate plasma.� To meet the plasma requirement, the East Singhbhum Chapter of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), is regularly helping the Jamshedpur Blood Bank in procuring it from virus recovered patients.
Continuing its efforts in this direction, today IRCS helped in getting six donors who came forward to donate plasma. Also, a unit of single donor platelet (SDP) could also be collected. Lauding the notion of saving lives with this effort, Bijay Kumar Singh, Hony Secretary, IRCS, has felicitated the donors by presenting a bouquet. The district administration along with IRCS has also awarded certificate of appreciate to the donors while the Jamshedpur Blood Bank presented them a memento. So far, 139 people have donated plasma which has indeed helped the Blood Bank to meet the requirement to a great extent. Smita Nagesia, Dy Collector, Plasma Donation, East Singhbhum, has also expressed her gratitude to the donors and appealed to those who recovered from COVID19 to donate plasma. Prabhunath Singh, In-Charge, SDP Donation of IRCS was also present on the occasion.
