Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP accused unidentified supporters of Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy of vandalizing inaugural plaques at two places on Sunday. They said the plaques were made to mark the completion of development projects funded by former CM Raghubar Das and Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato. They said a plaque installed outside Atal Community Building in Kanchan Nagar, Burmamines, was vandalized last night. Another plaque was vandalized in Jemco under Telco PS, they said.

Many BJP leaders led by the Jamshedpur MP and district BJP president Dinesh Kumar reached Burmamines and Jemco after being informed by party members. They condemned the incident and demanded strict legal action against the culprits. They staged a demonstration and alleged that criminal activities had increased in the city after 23rd December evening. They said certain people shown the door by the BJP were now provoking the party leaders by their petty acts.

The BJP district president said complaint had been lodged with local police stations. He said petitions were also given to police in this connection.
