Jamshedpur, July 24: As part of Mega Tree Plantation Drive anmounced by Union Home Minister, a mass tree plantation programme was organised at Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) Jadugora on Sunday.
C Manna, GM/Agent(Turamdih), Dr B K Rana, Scientific Officer/BARC, S K Singh, Mines Manager, Girish Gupta, Manager(Pers) were present along with Shri Hariom Gandhi, Sr Commandant/CISF and Rupali Gandhi, President/Sanrakshika.
Officers and staff of CISF, UCIL & BARC, members of Sanrakshika and children planted more than 3000 saplings cumulatively at the three sectors of the Unit, Turamdih, Jadugora and Narwapahar.
A total of 389 persons including children also attended the drive .
This Unit has planted more than 16,500 saplings during the Go Green drive-2021.Dr Rana appreciated the importance of greenery and requested all to ensure the growth of the saplings at least till they can sustain by themselves.
