Jamshedpur: Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Dhalbhum Shaba Alam Ansari praised Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) officials for motivating the people of the city to plant trees in large numbers. He said the �Mera Poudha, Meri Santan� campaign launched by the JNAC during the month of Saavan was a commendable step aimed at increasing greenery in and around the city. He handed saplings to five parents who had come to receive birth certificates of their wards at the JNAC office. He said the saplings should be planted to mark some special family occasion or social event. The saplings should be taken care of in the same manner as children are raised in households, he said.
