Jamshedpur: There was an apparent mood swing of the Weather God at around noon. Clouds slowly gathered and the air turned pleasant. But, around 4 pm, there was a premonition of rain with the pitter-patter of raindrops. Suddenly, it took seconds for a drizzle to turn into heavy downpour with a strong wind accompanying the torrential rain to turn the city roads almost deserted.
Trees were uprooted causing damages in some city areas and making commuting difficult for homeward bound denizens. After the rain and wind receded, the weather turned cool and pleasant but with overhanging clouds, citizens ventured out cautiously only to attend to pressing business. Going by weather reports and of course, the thick layer of overhanging clouds, a further burst of rain cannot be ruled out.
