Jamshedpur, Jan. 18: Kerala Public School, Kadma, celebrated its 19th Annual Sports Day at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday.
Pramod Dubey, director, Prerna Classes, graced the occasion as the chief guest and declared the meet open by hoisting the school flag followed by the march past that felicitated him.
This was followed by the Oath Taking Ceremony and the program commenced with the speech of the chief guest.
The exuberance of the students was showcased through the various events they had participated in.
The events for the Pre-Primary and Primary levels were: Bride and Groom, Birthday Party, Rain Rain Go Away, Save Trees, Obstacle Race and matching the numbers, while the events for the middle school level were: 100 m Race, 200 m race and 4×100 m Relay Race.
The students of the senior and super senior (i.e. Std. XI & XII) levels also participated in events like 100 m race, 200 m race and 4×100 m relay race. All the participants enthralled the spectators by showcasing their kinesthetic skills and panache filled performance.
Besides the race events, the students also put up a well coordinated yoga display seconded by a presentation of the Taekwondo Club of the school. The spirit of sports even touched the parents and teachers who were seen to participate in an event that attracted everyone�s attention.
The sports meet finally drew to its closure with the chief guest awarding the well deserved winners and announcing the overall champions- LOVE (Pink House), while the WISDOM (Yellow House) was declared the runners-up.
School principal Sharmila Mukherjee delivered the vote of thanks.
