Jamshedpur, June 29. State president of All India Pharmacists Association Shashi Bhushan Prasad claimed that the rules of Drug and Cosmetic Act 1940 and Tansam 1945 are the same all over India. In Jharkhand, against this rule, a new decision has been taken by the Jharkhand government.
He threatened of protest against this decision of the government.
“However, Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren government is giving license to open rural medicine shop in every panchayat in rural areas of Jharkhand, in that (Restricted) Drug license is being given in which medicines under Schedule C, C1 & schedule X can be kept and pharmacist is not required for this,” said Prasad.
He blamed the health department and the medicine department of not being aware of the rules and claimed that it would have negative effect on public mind and harm to the patients.
All India Pharmacists Association Jharkhand unit will burn effigy of the Chief Minister in all the districts of Jharkhand and if possible, the organization will take this issue to the High Court.
