Jamshedpur, Oct 17: The third day of the four day second Jharkhand National Film Festival Film Festival (JNFF) saw the screening of 21 films at the Srinath College of Education in Adityapur. Organized by Asma India and Mitra productions in association with Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Jharkhand, Tata Steel, Srinath College of Education, Adityapur, RVS College of Engineering, the screening of Hindi, regional, feature and short films have been drawing large crowds including ambitious and upcoming film makers, actors, technicians, professionals, film fanatics and film buffs as also connoisseurs. �It is a learninbg experience for all of us be the ones like me who have ambitions to make it big in this industry or others who are experienced,� explained Lalita Ghatak from Gamharia.
The pioneering partners of JNFF Sanjay Satpathy and Raju Mitra informed that 122 films were received for screening from 20 regions and cities from all across the country. �Out of these, 64 films were exhibited on large screens,� they stated.
The audience appreciated all the movies of very genre exhibited through the three days. Among them that came in for special mention from the audience were feature films, �Colour of Conscience,� �Tragic Fathers� Day,� Cakewalk� (all in Hindi), �Deven Misir� (Maghi). The short films reflected the long strides taken by filmmakers in this class of celluloid venture. The most important aspect of this festival was the screening of creative work of Jamshedpur filmmakers.
Raju and Sanjay said, �The concluding the concluding ceremony of the Second JIFF will be held at Tata Auditorium in XLRI complex on Friday, October 18.�
Patron Sukhdev Mahto, Purabi Ghosh, Dipika Banerjee, Amit Das, Rajpal Bodhrajya, Pradip Kumar Guddu, Lalit Sah Prachi, Rima Pal, Varsha Kumari, Saurav Kumar and Pratyush Raj were present at the screening today.
Awards will be given away in various categories by tinsel town glitterati that include the likes of Imteyaz Ali, internationally acclaimed film and theatre director Ashoke Viswanathan, Sajid Ali, Anand Rawat, Satarupa Sanyal, Nandlal Nayak, Shweta Padda and playback singer Luv Poddar.
