Jamshedpur: The condition of Home Guard jawans has become very bad these days. They are also not being paid salaries and allowances on time. Now the Home Guard personnel have approached the Deputy Commissioner to demand the payment of the pending duty allowance of the deputed home guards in the various establishments of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited based in Jamshedpur from the month of July to the year 2019.
Home guards said that BSNL Jamshedpur deputation Home Guards’ allowance is pending for one year. Non-payment of allowances on time has ruined their economic situation and led to hunger.
In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, the home guards have said that on November 17, 2017, according to the order of the headquarters, vide letter no. 846 of the District Commodity Office, the Home Guards were presently to be paid as food allowance at the rate of Rs. 50 per day under the MoU. But till date this amount has not been paid to the home guards.
