Ramgarh: Patratu police have arrested two people and seized smack and heroine from their possession.
Addressing a press conference on Satuday, Patratu SDPO Virendra Chaudhary said that Patratu police had received a tip-off that drugs like smack and heroin were being sold in Modern Dresses located in New Market.
Acting on this tip-off, a team was formed that raided the premises of Modern Dresses. Nine grams of smack and heroin were recovered from the owner of the shop, Vicky Kumar Srivastava.
Along with this, its stem machine was also recovered. During police interrogation, Vicky Kumar said that he had bought smack and heroin from Poda Gate resident Sujit Ram. Acting on this confession, the raiding team also arrested Sujit Ram and interrogated him. Sujit Ram confessed his crime during interrogation.
SDPO Virendra Chaudhary said that Vicky Kumar Srivastava’s father Suresh Kumar Srivastava, a resident of Janata Nagar Patratu, has been forwarded to judicial custody. He allegedly worked for the Aman Saw gang. Patratu police station in-charge Amit Kumar, Bhurkunda OP in-charge Mayank Kumar, police inspector Akshay Kumar participated in the raiding team.
