Passengers demand fare cut

Jamshedpur: Members of Jharkhand Yatri Sangh, an outfit of passengers, have expressed joy over the reduction of diesel prices and demanded a proportionate reduction in auto-rickshaw and mini bus fare.

They handed over a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum in this connection on Tuesday.

The outfit members said there was no justification in continuing with the old fare since the diesel prices had been reduced.

They said the district administration should take steps to reduce the fare as soon as possible.
