Passenger loses leg while boarding moving Tejas Rajdhani Express at Tatanagar Station

Jamshedpur: A tragic accident occurred at Tatanagar Railway Station when a passenger lost his leg while trying to board a moving train. Arun Kumar Panda, a resident of Bhubaneswar, was attempting to board the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Tejas Rajdhani Express when he slipped and fell into the gap between the train and the platform. The train was immediately halted, and he was rescued, but by then, one of his legs had been completely severed.

Initial treatment was provided at the Railway Hospital, after which his family shifted him to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where he is currently undergoing treatment. Eyewitnesses said the doors of the Tejas Rajdhani Express close automatically, which may have contributed to Panda losing his balance while boarding the train. The incident has raised concerns over safety protocols at railway stations and the risks of boarding moving trains.
