Jamshedpur: With polling date inching closer, election candidates are going all-out campaigning in both urban and rural areas of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency. The candidates are putting in their best to attract voters in their campaign vehicles.
In view of the fact that the tribal voters in rural areas like Ghatshila, Jugsalai, Bahragora and Potka will play a crucial role in the election, candidates are focusing more time there while the vehicles for campaigns have been pressed in to woo voters.
Trumpets blaring in high decibel for last few days has taken a lead that displays the temptation of the candidates to reach out to the electorate. Jharkhand Vikas Morcha’s Dr Ajoy Kumar is leading the campaign as the party has rolled out 113 such vehicles for campaign. The BJP follows second with 90 vehicles while Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is using around 50 vehicles.
The JVM has not only launched decorated vehicles on the streets for wooing the voters in favour of Ajoy Kumar, but the party has also started distributing pamphlets and other literature.
The party has roped in a hydraulic truck for the campaigning so as to highlight the achievements of its candidate.
Pad Yatra is the best mode of interaction with the voters but given the size of the constituency it gets little complex to touch voters individually however, we are aiming to cover as many people as we could in the remaining hours. We have to rely on vehicles this time, said a BJP party worker.
JVM spokesperson Ram Murthy said that the party is trying to ensure that the people living in the remotest part of the constituency may get necessary feed-back about Ajoy Kumar’s achievements.
Anil Modi of BJP also confirmed to have engaged over dozens of vehicles for the campaigning.
