Parsudih police file chargesheet without taking witnesses statement

Jamshedpur, Feb 11: In a development mirroring callous nature of police in framing chargesheet against accused which derails justice for the victim, the Parsudih police have written statements of two witnesses without taking their statements.
According to complaint lodged by victim, a woman of Kitadih under Parsudih thana had lodged a case of assault and molestation on January 17 against Manoj Singh, Kundan, Sanjay and Himanshu. The investigating officer, Satyendra Kumar, a sub inspector at the Parsudih thana is being accused of not taking statements of two out of the four witnesses in the case, namely Nityanand and Jaleshwar Sharma but has written their statements in the chargesheet on his own and has taken statements of only two witnesses namely Manoj Singh and Gyanendra Singh and that too a changed version of what they had given earlier before the police.
The four witnesses and the victim’s party on Thursday met the DSP law and order Alok Ranjan and informed about the wrong doings of the sub inspector who was the investigating officer in the case. Not satisfied with the attitude of the DSP they lodged a complaint with the city SP Subhas Chandra Jatt at the complaint cell. They claim that no action has been taken by the police against the accused so far.
