Parsudih market to remain open till 6 pm

Jamshedpur, July 24: Coronavirus horror is increasing in Jamshedpur and Jharkhand. Record cases are being reported with every passing day. Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FJCCI), Ranchi had on Tuesday appealed the traders to shut down their establishment from Friday to Sunday. In Jamshedpur Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the administration and the state government to come out with concrete steps to control the virus.

On Thursday, Parsudih Haat Market shopkeepers held a meeting to help control the deadly virus. Rishi Singh chaired the meeting and said, “Corona has wreaked havoc in Jamshedpur which was free from the virus till second week of May. With COVID-19 causality increasing we have decided to open the markets from 8 am to 6 pm from July 25 and have also decided to keep the shops closed every Wednesday so that sanitisation work can be carried out,” added Singh. He informed that social distancing norms will be followed and masks have been made mandatory both for the customers and shopkeepers.  Also present at the meet were Zila Parishad member Sudipto Dey Rana, Arvind Burman, Parshuram Shah and others.
