Jamshedpur: Sri Sri Kali Puja Committee of Parsudih Haat Bazar is celebrating Golden Jubilee this year. The committee members held a meeting here on Friday to make plans for a grand Golden Jubilee celebrations.
It was decided to celebrate Kali puja with pomp and fanfare. The meeting was chaired by Parshuram Sao. The treasurer Kaushik Devnath presented last year�s income and expenses report which was unanimously passed.
This year, the puja will start on 19th October. A free distribution of bhog will take place on 20th October. An immersion procession will also be taken out on the same day at 5 pm. This was informed by the committee general secretary Viplab Bose and Jayanto Dhar.
The duo said the Kali Puja committee was formed in the year 1968.
Among those present at the meeting included Arvind Burman, Suprabhat Das, Dhaneshwar Sao, Govindo Dutta, Swapan Das, Bapi Nandi, Supriyo Das, Larai Mundua, Sushanto Nag and Abhijeet Dutta.
