Jamshedpur, July 23: Parmeshwar Bhagat today took charge of office as DDC of East Singhbhum. The Deputy Commissioner had been holding additional charge of DDC since the retirement of B Maheshwari on January 30 last. Since no permanent DDC had been posted earlier, the DC was also holding charges of the Zila Parishad and DRDA Secretary. There have been no meetings of these departments during the interim months. The slaries of Zila Parishad employees have also been held up as a consequence. Parmeshwar Bhagat had earlier served as the Director of ITDA in the district during 2017-�18 period.
