Ranchi: Rajya Sabha MP and Group President of Reliance Industries Limited Parimal Nathwani termed the sweeping victory of Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha electdion as a historic event for the Indian democracy.
He said it was a historic incident in the last 30 years of the nation�s history. �Narendra Modi has registered his name in history by reaching the office of Prime Minister from Gujarat. He will be able take the nation on the path of progress by dint of his sincere efforts, vision and clear ideology,� Nathwani said in a statement issued on Friday.
The MP said Modi had proved himself to be a national leader in the true sense and become popular all over the world. The new government will have to live up to the expectations of the people, he said.
�The Gujarat development model will be implemented all over the country. Be it the GDP growth, nation�s dignity at international level, strength of Indian Rupee or taking bold decisions, the Central government will have to deliver as per the expectations of the people,� Nathwani said.
