Parents association submits memorandum to DC

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Parents Association has urged the deputy commissioner to set right the enrollment process in private schools.

It also demanded that the directives of the High Court ought to be followed in regard to admissions of children, issuance of merit lists and admissions of children from BPL category.

In the memorandum submitted by association president Dr Umesh Kumar it was stated that the private schools have flouted High Court orders while announcing merit lists of general category and BPL category students on January 17.

Dr Kumar maintained that as per right to education act the schools must reserve 25 percent seats for BPL category students.

As per Jharkhand High Court orders separate merit list for BPL category students must be released, he said.
