Paralegal volunteers should help victims get speedy justice: District Judge

Jamshedpur: A three day refresher course cum training programme for paralegal volunteers (PLVs) was inaugurated at Lok Adalat hall on the premises of Jamshedpur Civil Court on Monday under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority.
The chief guest of the occasion was the Principal District Judge Manoj Prasad.

In his address, he said the PLVs were the backbones of DLSA. He said the PLVs worked as a link between the judiciary and the society.

Making a clarion call to all PLVs, Prasad said they should take various issues of their respective areas to DLSA and ensure that justice is done to the victims. He said no one would be deprived of justice. He said no stone would be left unturned in ensuring that benefits of various government schemes reach the last man on the street.

Also present on the occasion, Family Court Judge Satya Prakash Sinha praised the PLVs for their tireless efforts and advised them to keep up the good work.

DLSA Secretary SN Sikdar said the PLVs were the soldiers of DLSA. He motivated them to work fearlessly to achieve their goal.

Sikdar said very soon legal aid clinics would be opened in all panchayats of the district following a directive of Jharkhand Legal Services Authority.
