Jamshedpur: The Para teachers who have been deprived of four months� honorarium are anguished over the department�s sanction of only one month�s package for April.
Chairing a meeting of Ekikrit Para Teachers� Sanghursh Morcha (EPTSM) district president Sonu Sardar said, �The department has held in abeyance our honorarium for March-April while they have sanctioned the April amount only. Even the month of May is coming to a close. This type of break in honorarium payment has happened for the first time. Such a decision is definitely not justifiable from any angle.�
Sonu Sardar criticized the departmental officials stating that this decision was a ploy of their officialdom to torture Para teachers who were any way bearing the brunt of financial burdens since the past four months for being deprived of their honorarium. He said that the para teachers would not, under any circumstance, accept one month�s honorarium and would launch an agitation for the purpose of getting their entire pending payment.
