Jamshedpur, Feb 10: A 25 year old youth of Pandragaon in Pandra Panchayat under Saraikela police station committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree. The deceased, Karam Singh Sardar alias Mangru was a driver by profession.
According to reports, Karam Singh Sardar had gone to the village�s Hari Mandir at 6 pm on Sunday evening to participate in a three day Kirtan event. He was seen there till about 1 am although he did not return home later. Early morning today, he was found hanging from a Neem tree near the temple. It has been assumed that the deceased had hung himself to death between 2 am and 2:30 am.
The deceased�s elder brother Anand Singh Sardar informed that Karam had seemed worried since the past week and used to remain quiet. Anand said that he failed to understand why his younger sibling took recourse to suicide. The police have registered an UD Case on the basis of Anand Singh Sardar�s statement. The police had an autopsy conducted on deceased Karam Singh Sardar�s body at the Saraikela Sadar Hospital and later handed it over to the family members.
