Jamshedpur, September 28: Deprived of their rights, panchayat samiti members boycott the Panchayat Samiti meeting held at Gamharia Block office.
Members said that they have still not been provided with their rights from state government’s end and there is no one to listen to them.
A panchayat samiti members informed that a memorandum was submitted to the chief minister Raghubar Das bu no action has been taken till date and what is the use of holding meetings.
On the occasion block head Amrita Tudu, Pansas Honi Singh Munda, Ajit Singh, Sarita Devi, Rajni Tiwary, Ravi Mahato, Dhani Murmu, Chaya Rani, Banka Sardar and others were present.
BDO Hari Shankar Barik said, the meeting was held to inform about the special gram sabhas that are conducted in every panchayats on October 2 which was boycotted by the panchayat samiti members.
BDO informed that directives have been issued to make the gram sabhas successful in every village on Wednesday. At the meeting CO Kamini Kaushal Lakra, GPS Shiv Shankar Thakur and others officials were present.
