Jamshedpur, Jan. 2: Parsudih Jankalyan Samiti on Saturday felicitated panchayat representatives. At the award function 5 Zila Parishads, 11 mukhiyas, 10 panchayat samiti members and 3 ward members along with several social workers were honoured.
Guests for the event were Parsudih Police Station in-charge DK Chaturvedi and former MP Krishna Mardi. The event held at Petrol Pump premises in Parsudih Cinema Road saw representatives being felicitated with traditional shawls and flower bouquets. The event was hosted by social worker Deendayal Prasad.
On the occasion welcoming the guest, Rajendra Prasad Shah said, the panchayat representatives should work with honesty and solve the issues related with the people of the villages and ensure development should reach the last people of the state.
He said that villagers have elected the people from whom they expect work to be done.
At the event panchayat representatives said, for the development of villages there is a need a need for involvement of all. All the development work can’t be done simultaneously because MP and MLA get bigger funds while Zila Parishad have limited funds.
All the work will be done but one by one and there is a need of everyone’s support. In election caste and creed issue should not be there and there needs to be an awareness of development in the society.
Those who were felicitated included-Zila Parishad Rajkumar Singh, Sudipto Dey aliad Rana Dey, Sunita Shah, Rakhi Guha and Bulurani Singh. Mukhiyas-Khani Sirka, Radharani Tudu, Pano Murmu, Kanchan Tigga, Sini Soren, Sarswati Tudu, Singo Tudu, Somvari Purthy, Basanti Gupta, Pramila Kumari Munda and Umesh Kumar.
Panchayat Samiti Members-Kanhai Karua, Salge Hansda, Raju Patro, Tarun Pal, Rohit Singh, Neha Devi, Sunita Murmu, Ranga Mistry, Sanjay Kumar Yadav and Lalsa Devi.
Ward members- Somnath Das, Yasodha Devi and Shankar Yadav.
