Jamshedpur, Feb. 25: Shri Ram Singh Munda, president of 20-point programme implementation committee headed a monthly meeting of Jamshedpur Block at the block development office in Karandih on Saturday.
Review of several development projects run by the Jharkhand government for the block areas was done at the meeting. Addressing the meeting Shri Ram Singh Munda speaking on the issue of misuse of funds given by the 14th finance commission for the panchayat areas to purchase solar light, submersible pumps, water tanks etc, Munda directed the panchayat secretaries to keep an eye on the misuse of funds and if any incident is reported then the mukhiyas and the concerned panchayat secretaries will be liable.
‘This government will not tolerate any kind of corruption at any level’, said Munda. He directed for the registration of the projects during the panchayat working committee meeting. Munda further said that those who will be involved in financial irregularities for purchasing solar light will have to face legal action.
Answering a query about to make the Haat markets encroachment free, Circle officer Maheshwar Mahato said that magistrate will be appointed by March 15 and the market will be made encroachment free.
On the occasion Deepak Nishad, member of the 20-point programme implementation committee rose the issue of getting caste certificates. Another member Rocky Singh raised the issue of dearth of sevikas at Anganwadi kendra and the running of centres in rented house.
Another member Neeraj Singh said that a land was encroached by a person in Ghoradih panchayat and later it was sold. Co assured to take immediate action against the persons involved in the issues.
Several members were disappointed with the slowness of the toilet construction work where the concerned officer directed to speed up the toilet construction work.
The meeting also focused on the issue of water scarcity during summer season and the concerned officers were told to make the arrangements.
