500 beneficiaries get free LPG connection in Sidhgora
Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration will soon cover over one lakh families under the Ujjwala scheme. This was announced on Friday by Bidyut Baran Mahato, MP of Jamshedpur, during a camp organized at Town Hall, Sidhgora. As many as 500 beneficiaries were provided free LPG connection with kits today.
The MP said the Central and state governments wanted each and every poor family to get the benefit of the various development and welfare schemes. The district administration is pushing itself to ensure that all beneficiaries are covered under the schemes.
Also present on the occasion was the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Amit Kumar. He said the beneficiaries of various government schemes would carry forward the message of development to other members of the society. He said this would motivate more and more people to reap the benefits of government schemes. He said the special camps for the distribution of LPG cylinders and connection kit would continue till all the beneficiaries are covered.
Recently, the district administration had organized a camp for the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme at the Burmamines Kustha Ashram. So far, more than 99,000 families have been covered under the said scheme in East Singhbhum, said the DC.
The DC said the state government was trying to empower women of Jharkhand by providing electricity connection to households under the Saubhagya Scheme. Self help groups are also being set up to provide loans to women entrepreneurs, he said.
Many district administration officials were present on the occasion.
