Over 40 people arrested for Jamshedpur unrest

BJP high level committee to meet admin over Abhay’s arrest

Jamshedpur, April 10: Around 40 people have been sent to jail over communal flareup at Shastrinagar in Kadma.

Jamshedpur police also arrested around 12 people who protested at the DC office regarding the issue of Kadma Shastri Nagar. All these people have been sent to jail. Till now the police has sent about 40 people to jail.

A total of 60 people have been arrested. Right now the police is identifying more such elements. Police say that more such elements will be arrested and sent to jail. At the moment, the atmosphere is tense but under control.

Meanwhile BJP’s high-level committee has planned to meet SSP over arrest of Abhay Singh.

The BJP high command has formed a high-level committee over arrest BJP leader Abhay Singh. This high-level committee, after probing the matter, the organization reached out to former Jharkhand Home Secretary JB Tubid, former DIG Laxman Prasad, former DIG Laxman Tudu, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto and former BJP state president Dineshanand Goswami among others for looking into the matter.

On Monday, a five-member team of Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of MP Bidyut Varan Mahato took stock of the situation from the Deputy Commissioner and SSP of the district. Apart from MP Vidyut Varan Mahato, the team includes JB Tubid, Laxman Singh, Laxman Tudu and Jamshedpur city district president Gunjan Yadav.
