Over 100 students clear karate belt examination in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 3: The Colour Belt and Black Belt Examination 2026 was conducted on May 3 at the Santhal Sarna Amul Indoor Hall in Gamharia, witnessing enthusiastic participation from more than 100 karate students. Participants mainly came from Chhota Gamharia and various blocks of Saraikela district, reflecting the growing popularity of martial arts in the region.

The programme was graced by chief guest Ichagarh MLA Sabita Mahato, who also serves as Chairperson of the Youth Welfare, Culture and Tourism Development Committee of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. Other distinguished guests present included JMM leaders Ganesh Mahali, Ganesh Chaudhary, and Laltu Mahato. The Mukhiya of Chhota Gamharia Panchayat, Nirola Sardar, was also in attendance.

The examination was organised under the All India Goju Ryu Karate Do Federation and was conducted under the supervision of Chief Instructor L. Nageshwar Rao. He was assisted by Shihan Shahzad Qureshi and Shihan Sumit Kumar Senapati, who ensured that all tests were carried out as per standard guidelines.

Successful candidates were awarded colour belts and black belts along with certificates by the chief guests. The event was organised by Sensei Niraj Kumar.

Senior black belt members Ritesh Pramanik, Prashant Kumar, Dhruv Tiwari, and Aditya Singh were also present and motivated the participants. The examination highlighted discipline, skill, and dedication among young karate practitioners in the district.
