Jamshedpur: Members of Bharatiya Bramharshi Tigers, a city-based outfit, met the DPRO of Jamshedpur Sanjay Kumar and handed him 250 cloth bags on Saturday to boost the ongoing anti-polythene campaign of district administration.
Led by Akhilesh Kumar Choudhary, the outfit members assured the DPRO of assistance in running the campaign against polythene bags.
They said they had prepared the bags from cotton fabric and that more such bags will be prepared and distributed for free in various areas of the city.
A signature campaign was launched by the outfit today at few places in the city. Tomorrow the campaign will be run in Telco and adjoining localities, they said.
The DPRO praised the outfit members. He appealed to them to make the forthcoming No Polythene Day celebration successful on 2nd October.
