Buddhism a connecting link between India and Japan: Raghubar
Ranchi/Tokyo: Addressing the industry and business community in Japan, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today appealed them to help develop the agriculture and social sector in Jharkhand.
Das said that India and Japan are culturally connected and both the nations believe in discharging their mutual duties. Referring to the ‘Look East’ and ‘Make In India’ policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that Jharkhand is marching on the way shown by the Prime Minister.
“In addition to panoramically beautiful and mineral rich, the state abounds in with honest and knowledgeable workforce. Jharkhand appeals to Japan to help Jharkhand in skill development,” said the CM.
The CM appealed JETRO JICA METI to help in development of infrastructure in Jharkhand. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association consented on investment and training proposal in Jharkhand.
A road show on Jharkhand was organized at Ritz Carlton in which several prominent companies of Japan participated. Jharkhand Chief Secretary (CS) Raj Bala Verma, Additional CS Amit Khare, Urban Development Principal Secretary Arun Kumar and Industry Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal addressed the industry community on policies and developments of Jharkhand.
A Business to Government meeting was also organized.
Development Commissioner Amit Khare proposed a vote of thanks to the Indian Embassy, Consulate General of India, JETRO, Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kansai Economic Federation and others.
