Jamshedpur, Nov 14: An orientation programme for National Service Scheme (NSS) Swayamsevaks was organized at XLRI Auditorium under the aegis of SVEEP wing of East Singhbhum district administration. The chief guest of the occasion was the Deputy Commissioner cum District Returning Officer of East Singhbhum Ravi Shankar Shukla. He appealed to all NSS Swayamsevaks to cast their vote without fail and also motivate others to exercise their voting rights. He informed the gathering about cVIGIL App, Queue Management App and voter helpline number 1950. He said the NSS Swayamsevaks should inform the district administration about cases of violation of Model Code of Conduct through cVIGIL App.
Also present on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anoop Birtharay said voting for the first time is a great experience. Appealing to first-time voters to exercise their voting rights without fail, he said doing so strengthens the democracy.
The Vice Chancellor of Kolhan University Dr Shukla Mohanty was also present during the programme. She spoke on the importance of voting and appealed to youths to cast their votes.
Two songs on voters� awareness campaign were launched during the programme. A nukkad natak was also staged for educating voters.
